Checkpoints can also give a snapshot of each individual student and their engagement with the project and the group.

Activities to use as a checkpoint

• quizzes to check on knowledge (also helps identify students struggling/not pulling share of work)
• Identify inquiry questions for a project activity and require specific knowledge content by a certain date
• Reflection activities to determine knowledge/process - essay
• Rough drafts
• Process questions as to how group is working
